Asante Kotoko have revealed they received an amount of Ghc15,000 as their share of the net gate proceeds realized in the friendly defeat to the Black Stars.

Asante Kotoko have revealed they received an amount of Ghc15, 000 as their share of the net gate proceeds realized in the friendly defeat to the Black Stars.

Asante Kotoko played against the Black Stars on Friday, October 12 in a friendly at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium, the game saw thousands of fans trooping to the stadium.

Despite Asante Kotoko losing, a 40% stake from the gate proceeds amounted to Ghc15,000.

“Kotoko made net amount of ghc15, 000 as from our 40% share of the proceeds from the friendly match against the Black Stars” Edmund Ackah said in an interview.

Goals from Majeed Waris, Christian Atsu and Emmanuel Boateng sealed an emphatic win for the Ghana national team in the friendly on Friday following the botched 2019 AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone.
